Our trip to Tembagapura

Mark and I are having the time of our lives, although it has not been without incident. It started when we went to the Sudbury airport to board our flight to Toronto, it was delayed for takeoff due to fog so when we finally made it to Toronto to board our flight to Hongkong we missed it by 5 minutes. Nedless to say we were stranded in Pearson Airport for a little over 24 hours till we finally boarded our flight to HongKong. That was a very long flight especially for me as this was my fist time experiencing flying. I was very nervous and hardly slept the whole flight. HongKong Airport was absolutely massive, a city onto itself. The people in HongKong were very gracious and very helpful.
The view outside the window at the airport was stunning, we were overlooking the harbor at the most beautiful mountains of HongKong.

We finally arrived in Jakarta and thought that we were home free lol ... We got through customs without incident and thought our biggest hurtle was all but done....well we were wrong. We went to get our boarding ticket only to discover that it was full they had sold out our seats as we were late because of the delay in Sudbury. So we were stranded again in Jakarta for another 24 hours, at this point we were starting to feel like Tom hanks in that movie were he had to live in the airport...the name of the movie fails me at the moment but i am sure you know what we mean. Let me tell you Mark and I are certainly not complaining this has been quite the adventure and we are having the time of our lives...we feel like teenagers all over again....this truly is the fountain of youth. The country is absolutely beautiful and very humid. Stay tuned as we still have not made it to Timika.

It is October 17th and Mark and I are enjoying a nice quiet evening together on our anniversary.
Of course that means that I am sitting here and writing on our blog page and Mark is watching the hockey game on TV, (he has reminded me that he is not just watching the game he is living it in high definition). It really doesn't take much to make him happy!

So much has happened in one year, it is so hard to believe that in 6 days we will be traveling to Tembagapura Indonesia. This is going to be the place we will call home. Mark is very excited about moving over there....I on the other hand waver between being elated at the thought of the adventure to pure unadulterated fear of flying. This will be the first time I will have step foot on a plane...what an initiation fifteen hours,(of sure terror) just from Toronto to Hong Kong. Well if you are going to do something you might as well do it right.
